as i havnt tested the emulator on windows 7, i cant tell you exactly what is causing the problem. however, if its all the same as windows vista's problem, make sure that the files and directory are globally writable to 'everyone'.. then dont forget to place the updated program executable in that directory. run the set affiliate program as administrator to set your id. close the program. you may want to re-open it (as administrator) to see if you can 'recall' the id saved. then you should be able to run the emulator, again as administrator. any access violations tell me that the program cant write to its own directory.

I am looking forward to continuing support on the emulator once the warmer months hit so i have more time to work on it. installation issues are also on the table to be worked out as the installer i use was pre-vista's time.

try like that, let us know what works out!

two things could be happening here.. 1. the updated .exe wasnt replaced with the original .exe from the installer. 2. program cant write back to the directory.
what you may try is .. take the update archive from CINE, open it in like winrar, then drag-and-drop the updated files into c:\wsxl manually instead of using the self-extractor. make sure they are replacing the old versions. once completed, make sure the whole directory, and the subdirectories are allowed to be written by 'everyone'.

let me know what goes!

Make sure you did not drop the folder but the file itself. It will ask to replace the file already there.
