Cloudy, windy and 7 °F.  Feels like -15 °F.  Winds N at 25 mph.  A Wind Chill Warning (  :brr: ) and also a Winter Weather Advisory  :snow: are in effect.  This is the deep freeze, y'all.

EDIT as of 6:26 AM CST 12/18: Now it's -3 °F.  Brrr.  :brr:

Tomorrow will be the second year in a row where Atlanta will have a Warm (not White) Christmas in the low 70s. We broke a record high when the mercury reached 75°F back on Christmas Day 2015.

I can't help but think back to how this a far cry from 6 years ago in 2010 when the temperature was 40°F (and falling during the day) with rain changing over to snow to give us our first White Christmas in Atlanta since the 1880's! :o

Today it was partly cloudy in the 50s/60s for my area on the central coast of California. We're expecting anywhere from 3-5" total for part two of this "pacific river" weather event. As far as the first part of this went, we got about 2.6" of rain. So if we could get a storm total of 7.5"+ of rain... that would be great for the drought situation!
