25°F Light Snow

The storm total snowfall as of 7 AM was 14.4", which brings the seasonal total up to 21.4" for this winter.  Since the 14.4" melts to 1.27" of liquid equivalent, the snow-to-liquid ratio is just over 11:1.

46°F Fair

After over a week with several rounds of wintry weather, and rather dreary, cold conditions may I add, a dramatic weather pattern change will bring the start to spring across the southern Plains.
Today's High: 56 °F
Friday's High: 60 °F
Saturday's High: 67 °F
Sunday's High: 70 °F

EDIT: It's 61 degrees right now - warmer than expected!! :o

28°F Mostly Clear

Final Storm Snowfall Total:  20.1"

This storm brought the third largest storm snowfall total ever in Blacksburg's recorded history dating back to 1952.  We went from below normal to above normal for this winter thanks to this single storm.  The seasonal total now stands at 27.1", and a normal season here is 25.4" if you're wondering.

40.3°F Sunny/Windy

Season total up to 56.4". Surpassing the great winters of 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 both had around 53" to 55". With more threats coming and a possible pattern reload, we could easily surpass 60" and make a run at 70". Unlikely to make beat at 90.75", which is the record set in the winter of 1995-1996.

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

Okay, Craig, you win. :worship:  I'll never see those snowfall totals this winter, and you're going to get more soon.

37°F Drizzle

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 AM due to 2-3" of snow.  Despite having over a foot of fresh snow on the ground, it got to 48°F for the high today.  I wonder if I'll be reporting 60s next week.

Well, I'll be honest. My seasonal average is very close to yours, just a little over 2 feet each season. But we can very varying winters here depending on high latitude teleconnections. Some winters we get 0" of snow, some we get buried. Last 20 years have been very varying. After the awesome winter of 2010-2011, we only got 4.7" the entire next season. Most of the greatest winters here have been in the last 20 years so we've been lucky.

45º Partly Cloudy

My area's under a High Wind Warning (from 1PM PT today until 10AM PT tomorrow morning) as well as a Flood Watch (also until 10AM PT tomorrow morning) due to a system that will move in from the coast later today which is expected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds to the coastline.

38°F Mostly Cloudy

After yesterday's snowfall, our total for the season is now 55.4", making this winter the third snowiest on record (behind 2009-10 and 1995-96). Unless anything changes I don't think we'll be surpassing anymore records as we're still 10 inches away from beating #2's. High temperatures will be well above freezing for the next several days so hopefully I can see my back lawn again for the first time in over a month. :D
