Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

60°F Overcasat

The rain from my previous post netted 0.36", which means the total precipitation is already up to 2.50" for this month and 14.92" for this year so far.
9.35" here for the year. Despite the 2 inch deficit we still have more rain for the year than we did this time last year, plus more than twice the amount of snowfall.

69°F Sunny

April can be a crazy month with temps, we went from 30's to 80's in less than 5 days. Even looking at the daily records, one can tell April is a crazy month with temps, and that can be for pretty much everywhere in the US.
Today's records:
High: 94°F (2002)
Low: 26°F (1966)

84 °F and partly cloudy, with winds SSE at 15 mph gusting to 23.  I think I've got it coming tonight and tommorow, though.

Now (8:30 AM 4/18/13) it's 64° with heavy thunderstorms.  Winds NW at 9 mph.  Rain reported in the past 24 hours is 0.26".  The cold air coming in is making the severe potential fizzle out, though.

66°F Cloudy

Showers and thunderstorms will be coming tomorrow, and it's unclear how much severe weather may occur given the mountains and the timing of the cold front.

37°F Mostly cloudy

A FREEZE WARNING is in effect for Friday morning, so spring is not here either. :brr:  With some clouds moving in, maybe we will stay above the freezing mark.

We are stuck in a rut it seems like; it gets warm with temperatures in the 70s, then a cold front comes and gives us the 30s and 40s.  The good thing is that each system in the past few weeks has brought between 2 to 3 inches of rain, which is excellent in helping out the drought.

Thunderstorms are approaching from NW Georgia, they should be here within the next 1-2 hours. Temps will be falling from the upper 60s to the mid 50s today behind the cold front. So much for Spring sticking around. :P

45°F Mostly Cloudy

0.46" of rain fell here today, but all the action was east of the Blue Ridge as several severe thunderstorms brought down numerous trees and power lines throughout Virginia and North Carolina.
