The only time any significant moisture has happened has always been accompanied by a temperature spike to above freezing. And the arctic air has been blocked from getting a hold in the Northeast. Again, just like last year.

35.3°F Light Rain

Had snow to start, then sleet, then rain. Goodbye snowpack. Temps warming into the mid and upper 50's Wednesday. Wednesday night could be horrific with thunderstorms and high winds. GFS still showing wind gusts to be potentially as high as 80mph! Might have trouble mixing them down with an inversion.

79° and mostly cloudy, with winds S at 9 mph.  This is almost like last year's La Niña winter.

0z NAM wind gust maps have wind gusts approaching 90mph just south of here! HOLY ****!!!! Though, there will be a tough inversion to fight and I have no idea if those algorithms take into account the inversion.

It is now 47 degrees but just less than an hour ago we hit 66 according to my ipod and we have a slight chance of thunderstorms tonight. South jersey even has a Torcon risk of 3. A first in January!!!!!

55°F, Light Rain. We never got any of the severe weather that was forecast, but the rain did bring a cool down - it was in the 70s earlier today.

2.06" of rain fell yesterday, which puts the total precipitation at 7.68" for this month.  I think it may be the wettest January ever recorded here.
