46º Mostly Cloudy

My area is under another high wind watch (the second one in almost a week) from late tomorrow night into Saturday evening for an incoming storm system that'll bring heavy rain and the aforementioned strong gusty winds.

48.2°F Mostly Cloudy

Seems like a typical winter day. Trees are bare, ground is brown, skies are filled with altostratus clouds.

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

52° Cloudy. Rain has stopped, for now. About an inch has fallen in the past 24 hours (normal for the entire month is 1.5" or less).

51º Light Rain/Windy

Nearby Astoria is currently under a flood watch, a high wind warning, a high watch, and just now, a high surf advisory. Here in Long Beach we're just under the first two advisories.

Tomorrow will be worse than what occurred today -- very heavy rainfall of up to 2 inches or more and sustained winds up to 50 MPH with gusts up to 70 MPH
