Finally, the rain has ended!  A total of 3.12" fell here during the past 72 hours, so Blacksburg is over 6.5" above normal so far for this year.  I issued this long public information statement for amounts of at least 2" in the area:

It's been a wet week here, over 10 inches of rain here in the last 7 days. 70 degrees and raining now. Just saw this, over 3 inches today alone.

The high was only 76°F, and 1.00" of rain fell from more showers and thunderstorms today.  Blacksburg is now 7.51" above normal for this year so far thanks to a whopping 4.48" in June alone.  Seriously, is it ever going to stop raining?

It's been a very wet June so far, and likely to become the wettest on record by Thursday. Wet Junes tend to lead to much cooler summers here.

What else is new?  It has now rained in 8 out of the first 11 days for this June, and it just may have surpassed 5" of rain during this span.

2.10" of rain fell yesterday, once again breaking the daily record of 2.08" set in 1903. We're now at 6.79" for the month and we also now above average for the year with 19.32" (+1.36"). The weather will continue to be unsettled for most of this week.

Another 0.33" of rain fell earlier today.  So, a total of 4.81" of rain has fallen in June alone, and the 2013 total of 26.68" is 7.70" above normal for this point of the year.
