Ditto, it wouldn't feel so hot right now if the dewpoints were more in line with the humidity (low 40s).

These airports are about 18 miles apart.

Cooling off finally. Wouldn't be surprised if that's our only "heat wave" (wasn't an official heat wave here though) this summer. It's happened before.

You might get some Tonight and tomorrow. Here the ocean usually kills whatever thunderstorms come by so I would NOT be at the shore if you like thunderstorms though an occasional popup may occur. In AC, 80 and sunny

Interesting fact. The SST on Dec 21st of this past year was 53°F, several months later and days of heating and already nearing the summer solstice, the SST only increased 6°F to 59°F.

Despite the overall drier weather lately, some recent rain keeps Blacksburg over 4" above normal so far this year.
