It hasnt been much better here yesterday was the first time in 5 days I saw the sun then it went back behind clouds today

Active and harsh winters like last year and this year don't even spare Florida. For example, the winter of last year was similar to this year. Last year, in early January, cold arctic air headed south and was unmodified due to moving across the snow pack over the Ohio Valley. In some cases, it was just as cold in parts of Florida as it was here in my portion of Alabama. Brooksville, about 45 minutes north of Tampa, had a low of 14 degrees!  Not only that, but there was snow across the I-75 corridor from Lake City to Gainesville to Ocala.

Right, we dont get spared Last winter for example, it got down one morning to 19° in the Tampa suburb of Thonotosassa (where i live and its typically 10-15° colder than the city almost every morning) and i was amazed.. Although weve been stuck with cloudy skies, our temps have remained uniform between 65-80 degrees as of late

Anyway next week could be big. Joe Bastardi is going off as usual comparing next weeks potential storm to surviving a nuclear war. "the week of all weeks as far as winter maybe on the way. "

Its time for it to warm to 79 and stop raining. Since January, I've been sick 3 times including today and its so aggravating. 

Anyways, expecting more rain today. Just glad its not ice or snow! Had a few inches(2-4" i think) of rain last week.

Around Tampa well see rain tonight then wet from Thursday through Saturday then 7 days of sunny wx.. Temps return to par with 65-72 and lows 39-51

So far this season, my area has recieved 40" of snow. The average is 30". (+33%.)

Yeah, that is what I am hearing, too. It's about time. I just wish it would get warm and stay warm. That won't happen until late April or May, where I live. Remember, 18 years ago, what happened in March.

Right, the superstorm of 1993. And that year was in a La Nina pattern, just like 2011.

We might be able to get one more snowfall here  Right before La Nina rears her ugly head. Oh well I knew that thaw was coming eventually. I'm hoping we do get this snowfall because all we'll need is 2 inches and I'll have my first 10+ inch winter since 1993 and I don't think I have to go any further as to why that year was the last.

Old Man Winter may play an April Fool's joke on us before he completely gives out. A major nor'easter is forecast to dump between 6 to 12 inches of snow on areas such as Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine Thursday and Friday.
