Possible Ice Storm for Western New England

I have a question.  On Tuesday through Tuesday Night we are supposed to get about a half inch to maybe an inch of ice. Is that enough to close schools, and cause accidents on the roads? Just wondering.

Most definitely, it only takes 1/4 inch of ice to bring down trees and powerlines that's the worst part of it. Anything more than that is just crippling.

A winter storm warning would be needed for 1/4" of ice accumulation no matter where you live according to NWS criteria.  The last time I saw 3/4" of ice from one storm, it nearly brought a sizable city to a halt, and people didn't have power for up to a week despite a good effort from electric companies to restore it.
