This storm is so epic, NOAA's website had to post a bulletin saying the server is slow/crashing (It did that to me last night)

Blizzard warnings for a swatch of counties from Oklahoma to Illinois. This includes the cities of St. Louis and Chicago. This storm is gonna become a travel nightmare.

Blizzard Warning issued from 3PM Tuesday until 6PM Wednesday. Absolutely crazy.  I cannot believe this is happening to me :P

Last night it looked like 18"+ of snow here, however it looks like that may be more near 10"-14" with isolated higher amounts.  I am going to be on the lookout for some thunder snow.

Dr. Forbes and TWC put SE Mass (Fall River Area) in the .25"+ of ice  :(

Were in the Inch line. <_< Columbus and right along I-70 expecting 1/2 to inch of Ice plus people around here don't know how to drive. Interesting night coming.

This is a pretty dynamic storm already, there are reports of thunderstorm/unknown precip coming out of Oklahoma City and Norman, OK via NWS.

OKC Radar (shows where lightning strikes are occuring in the snow/mix/rain areas)

The superstorm brought a couple inches of snow here. And it will stay BELOW freezing until Friday. I wish I was up at 4:30 this morning. There were reports of thunderstorms, hail, then sleet, freezing rain, and snow all in just a couple of hours! :o

Wow... the 4000 radar looks so old-fashioned today, although I remember thinking 20 years ago how great it was!

I am displeased at the lack of instability here where I live. Lots of rain but there's low CAPE, therefore, little or no lightning.   It's only February 1st, though. Later on, there will probably be more oppurtunities for thunderstorms and severe weather.

I'm staring at the current watch/warning map, and I can't remember seeing such a huge area under a Blizzard Warning in a long time.
