Zone Forecast for Wednesday for Duluth, MN, something seems wrong with this.
Wednesday...Breezy. Mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of rain showers in the morning. Areas of blowing snow in the morning... Then patchy blowing snow in the afternoon. Highs 7 to 12. Temperatures falling in the afternoon. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Wind chill readings 10 below to 20 below zero.
Edit: Looks like they have fixed it, but here's a link to this forecast.

Wow, that was a major screwup. :D

Nice. I know that overnight there were some rain/sleet showers in the area so maybe that's what they were thinking when they wrote it. It's still funny, though!

It also was much warmer overnight than it will be tonight/tomorrow. With temperatures like that, rain is impossible, and there would have to be a huge area of really warm air aloft for freezing rain, don't know if that is possible either.

Wow, that was a major screwup. :D
You're telling me! NWS has more accurate forecasts, but for some reason, TWC forecasts seem more reader/user-friendly and are laid out in an easier way to understand with a great format. :)

NWS forecasts are heavily automated, and if the meteorologists are in a time crunch to get their predictions out, they often won't be able to edit the wording to make it more reader-friendly. I can easily imagine someone accidentally hitting "rain" instead of "snow", clicking on a few other choices on a menu, and then seeing the computers spit out that wacky forecast for Duluth, MN.

I have seen them forget to mention thunderstorms in our zone forecast before, either that or they expected the storms later that day to split west of us, go north and south of this 2-3 county group, and get back together to the east. Pretty sure thunderstorm forecasting is not that precise.
