I figure I'd pass along this news story I got on my Facebook homepage from WFAA-TV. The Condominiums in Arlington, which were flooded by Tropical Storm Hermine back in September 2010, are being demolished to make way for a new park.

Flood prone condominiums to become part of new Arlington park

The first of fourteen complexes were torn down Monday in Arlington at the former site of the Willows Condominiums.

The homes were flooded back in September 2010 when a tropical storm swept through the area.

The city of Arlington purchased the damaged condos earlier this year, along with 49 other flood-prone homes around Rush Creek. The plan is to turn the development into a new park.
