My local weather radar is going to be unavailable from today through the middle of January for the dual polarization upgrade.

My local radar is having the same thing done. But it starts on the 16th of January.

It'll probably be December before I can finally use dual-pol radar at my work.  I had a sneak preview of it with some informal training, and it was really interesting what I could now see compared to our existing radars.
