This week would be one of the wettest weeks, and it could break a lot of rainfall records and more likely calm the drought here in California. Although January and February are the wettest months, here where I live, it's something we're NOT USED TO! :P
The burn areas of the Station, Morris, Jesusita, and the one at La Canada-Flintridge have a very high risk for dangerous mudslides.
To me, it was the first time in a while where I've seen so many warnings out of these storms, and barely we are on Storm #2. I pretty much consider Storm #2 the strongest so far, but we still have about 3 more to face. #4, which is forecast to come on Thursday is predicted to be the strongest.
Talking about warnings, Two tornado warnings were issued for LA and Orange county earlier today. And another was issued for western San Diego county and it is currently in effect at the time I make this post. (:P). I highly doubt these storms will be strong enough to come here in El Centro, because we're too dry.
I'll be updating via Twitter about what TWC calls it the "Western Wallop" (which imo I hate it.), and I'll be posting pictures and video of the heavy rain that fell at my college.

I have a feeling that El Niņo is finally catching up with southern CA based on what I can see.

Finally get rid of some of that drought

I'm loving this weather!! We had a really nasty line of rain pass over us earlier (well, nasty to OUR standards). It brought hail, rain like I've never SEEN!, and some really strong winds. There were several warnings posted briefly as well. And some thunder and lightning!

We could get some thunderstorms here on Thursday as well, according to the NWS. To me, I haven't seen it rain for a long time, which is why I am so excited and hyper all this time. :P

This storm packs quite a punch. There were occasional 50 mph wind gusts and I might have accumulated 2 inches of rain since Sunday. The worst will come tomorrow. It is predicted to rain heavier and blow stronger winds. I'm surprised the storm didn't make my power didn't go off yet. I thought it did for a few minutes, but it was just a power surge in my home.

Bracing for Storm #3 as forecasters say it's gonna be as powerful as the one we faced yesterday. My area is now under a high wind watch.

We were under a TORNADO warning and 2 severe thunderstorm warnings. I might post some LF's later..

Well the Storm Parade is about over, as there is a short-lived Storm #4 heading our way with a possible thunderstorm. Lemme tell ya, it was CRAZY yesterday.
I was in a tornado watch! My college had to cancel afternoon-evening classes. The heaviest of the rain came through around 2:00 and lasted for an hour, making most of El Centro and IVC impassible. It was pretty much one of the craziest storms I've been to.
Here's one of the pics that I took while the bus was driving through a busy and flooded avenue: http://twitpic.com/z4jgf (http://twitpic.com/z4jgf)
According to my local met, we now have 2.34 inches of rain in total for the month of January.
Also, there were two tornadoes reported yesterday as well, one in Ventura County and another in eastern Riverside County (mainly Blythe). Both of them were EF0's iirc.

Keep those storms coming. Looking juicy for the South later this week with snow

Sure, Martin...I'm looking at two more coming (one on Tuesday and another next Sunday) :P
