Is this still being supported?
« on: May 06, 2021, 03:11:46 PM »
Hello all,  I have not used the WeatherScan sim in a while, and noticed there are a lot of things that are no longer working.  Is this project still being supported?  A few issues I noticed with radars and airports sections, radar just shows up blank when there is storms in area, then if you select airports section, it just crashes the program.  Anyhow, I hope this is still being support, it has so much potential.

The airport API has been disabled by IBM they are currently looking for another to replace it. in the mean time run your emulator without the airport section, As far as that radar, weatherunderground has made some changes this week and the radar has been disabled, they are actively searching for a solution as we speak. so we can all get back up and running

I also follow a few other sites supporting these type of weather projects, it appears they fixed the radar issues either through something called mesonet or this site: https://mrms.ncep.noaa.gov/data/RIDGEII/L2/CONUS/CREF_RAW/
Not sure if it would be any help, but thought I would offer it.  Airports, I am guessing there has to be something out there as well.
