My mother told me about this after it happened.
She saw this live on television last night sometime around 10:30 PM.
It was a tease for the 11:00 PM newscast on WNBC-TV in New York City where long-time veteran news anchor
Sue Simmons dropped an F Bomb after she read the news copy. She later apologized at the start of the newscast.

Sue Simmons is still there?... I am from NYC, Brooklyn and i remember her since I was like 5 or 6! from the old "Live at Five" broadcast
-
She said that out of nowhere. That startled me. If this was prerecorded, than a beep would be heard but it's different in live television

Thats probably why she can get away with dropping the F bomb and not get fired :twothumbs:
-
I don't get it. What's so signifcant about it? People say the F-word all the time.
-
Sue said:"The f*** are you doing?"

And?

Not on live TV.
-
Just goes to show that on-air personalities are normal people. At least she did apologize for her actions.
Victor, if it was pre-recorded, I am pretty sure they would record it over ;) But, it was live.
-
That's stupid. People SHOULD be allowed to swear on live TV. Parental Controls are insane these days. Punishing everyone because of stupid kids.
-
I don't agree with cursing on the air. IMO live TV is no place to talk like a drunk.

Yup, she's still there and going strong. Sue's been at WNBC for 27 years now.

It really happened on live TV.

You didn't punctuate your sentence so I can not tell if that is a remark or a question.

Given the edit, I will now say: "Yeah, Gary kinda knew that when he made that post." :whistling:
-
LOL, yeah I was very well aware of that fact.

Yeah, really. Does everything have to be about the children? What about the veterans of childhood...the one's who made it out alive!
-
You guys make it seem like all adults just love to hear that stuff. :P
-
Ehh..no stand on this really. I don't mind the cussing on TV..but still, I don't think people should say it on "professional programs" (news, sports.... ect.. kid shows)
