Windows 7 will be my next operating system as I didn't jump to Vista after hearing so much trouble about it.  I want to wait another year though to let the bugs get cleared out on 7 and save up money for a new laptop.  Furthermore, my 4-year-old laptop with XP is doing fine right now, so I really don't need to upgrade yet.
Same here. I don't think Vista is bad, is compatibility that irks me the most.

Id only wait a month or so if your worried about bugs on 7. Its been a very stable system from what I have seen.

That's good to hear, Martin.  I want to get settled with a new Meteorology job and have a stable income first so that I have enough money to buy my next laptop with 7.

I use Windows 7 RC every time on my netbook (dual-boot with XP) and have noticed zero issues.  Zero.  Very stable and very easy to use.  Like I said earlier, I plan to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium with the "family pack" ($149, three licenses) and upgrade my working tower, my netbook, and eventually my DVR system that I will build soon.

That DVR system sounds cool!

If anyone can believe this, I still have Windows XP and have not had a problem with it. It seems like a lot of people complained about Vista, so I'm glad I did not get that. Any comments on Windows 7? Good? Bad? :dunno:

VERY good! Biggest thing to get used to is the new UI. Its very different but in so many ways much better.
