I'm BACK!
Hey everybody, I returned after a long time, as I decided to take a break and play some Gran Turismo, Black Ops, go on holiday, etc., but I'm back now.
Anyway, I was trying to find the highest quality video of an real (not emulated) Intellistar so I could try something in Sony Vegas.
I have looked for a bit, but I am really a bit stuck finding REALLY high-quality ones that look sharp and well-detailed at full-screen on my 1650x1080 monitor. Can anyone help? Also, if the video is not on YouTube but have a video on their computer, would it be possible to send me it?
Thanks!

someone hasn't checked my youtube :P
March/April 2011 Primetime 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3IL-gIzsLU#)
and the reason it's HQ is because i'm using Hauppauge WinTV 950q on WinTV 6 with settings
Brightness: 84
Contrast: 160
Saturation: 255

IntelliSTAR Local Forecast - 12/5/2010 - 2:58 PM CT (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c538n945ufo#)
EDIT: I ask though you not use it.. sorry :hmm:

Thanks, guys!
Those clips are prety good, but I meant even higher quality than this:

GT1racer, it seems to me that all of your clips are incredibly saturated, and quite dark. Are you sure your monitor's all right? No offense, but it looks kinda weird....

He did it on purpose..

Honestly, does it really matter? As long as I can read everything on the video I'm satisfied with it. Even my 240p videos still look pretty good.

You may be surprised to hear this from me, but for me, absolute yes. Reason? Emulations.

Yeah, but I did say in the OP that I wanted to use it in Vegas to try something, so it wouldn't be very good in 240p.

What exactly do you need it for?

I wanted to try overlaying some text and images to 'restore' it. I can afford After Effects, but I don't understand it and I don't know if my computer can handle it.

If thats what your doing i wouldnt use Vegas  Maybe what you could do is print screen a video, then use a program like GIMP or photoshop (if you have it!) then do it

Do you think it is worth getting After Effects, as I may be able to get a significantly better computer quite soon.
What are your computer specs? ;)

I agree. This entire thread just seems like one of those "my stuff is better than yours" types of tings. IMO, the content of the videos is more important than the quality.

That's as HQ as you can get, sorry it doesn't appeal to you.

While I don't really understand why he needs such HQ vids, I respectfully disagree in that I would not consider your videos high quality. There are definitely color issues (whether on purpose or not).

well sorry you don't see them the way i do, and there aren't color issues they are just perfect the way they are sorry it doesn't appeal to you either.
last thing i'm going to say is if you don't like the quality or color then don't watch them.

I will say right here that no IntelliStar video is really high quality, unless it was recorded on a ClearQAM source, or through an upconverted signal via HDMI.. its my opinion, but even composite video or recording through coax out of a digital box isnt higher than typical analog signal because those signals are technically considered analog in todays standards..

Guys, this is my only warning, or I'm locking the topic: Stay off the subject of whose video is better or not. I sense way too many opinionated arguments here, and that's not the point of sharing and interacting with others.
-
I can only offer a crapload of WeatherSTAR Junior videos if you want them; otherwise, don't look at me, I'm just the piano player. ;)

All right, ALL RIGHT! Everybody stop. I see that I have created a massive argument, so I take the whole blame for starting this thread. The only reason i wanted high-quality videos is because I wanted something good...
Oh, I don't know. I just wanted to create an emulation but I don't know how. I need some help, because i don't know whether to get After Effects and/or how to use it, or if my computer can handle it.

I'm not blaming you for creating the thread, and it's perfectly okay to ask for a decent start to create your own emulation. I just want people to react better about their own work without bragging so much.
