Windows Vista isn't a computer, it's an operating system. ;)

An HP Pavilion notebook zv5340us running XP Home that badly needs to be reformatted.

In the home office, there's an HP Pavilion desktop (can't remember the model) that I got for Christmas in 2005; since then, the motherboard has failed back in March, and just a few weeks ago, the monitor's backlight started going out. :(

I always build my own computers.

My normal Computer: AMD X2 4200 S939, Asus A8N-SLi deluxe (liquid cooled), 2 Raptor 150s Raid 0, 7900GT OC vid card, 2GB Corsair TWINX2048-3500LL PRO
My Server (That runs My Weather Station): AMD 4000, 2GB generic ram, 300GB Seagate 7200.7

Many other computers around the house for my wife and kids, but they are pretty old

Its pretty simple to do, if you have some knowledge of computers (and you HAVE to, or else you could really mess things up). I always build my own computers too.  :sunglasses:

Yes, as long as you put in an ethernet card or modem (or Wi-Fi card) in the machine.

No. Its amazing how many people have asked me that since I began building computers. The internet is totally seperate. The only thing a computer has in relation to the internet is a modem or ethernet card, so that when you get the internet you can hook it up to your computer.

Building your own is the best way (if you want a top quality PC, and im not saying that dell, hp, ...etc are bad).....you can select the components you want. I have been building my own computers for about 10 years or so. Now i will say that buying a store bought PC can be cheaper. The way i look at it....you get what you pay for.
