Yep. I still use it quite often.

It comes in quite handy for extended errors like this one was.

I do, but not very often (mainly for getting recordings of TWC videos off of them, which is why I was able to provide you guys with my XL and IS v1 clips).

Unless you have a really funky VCR, pretty much all coaxial cables and connectors should be universal.
