Here's my take on Global Warming:
It seems to me like the result of Global Warming is not necessarily warmer weather per se, but weather patterns have become more extreme. Heat waves are more common and a lot more severe. Warm ups are more prevalent in the winter. As it was, Lansing has set 2 record highs this winter (12/27- 61, 2/10- 60) which is highly unusual. Severe weather has become more prominent, potent, common, and widespread as of late. I will also buy that Global Warming is leading to more and stronger hurricanes. Despite the quietness of the 2006 and 2007 hurricane seasons, Hurricanes Ike and Katrina are prime examples, as are the 2004, 2005, and 2008 hurricane seasons. I agree that temps are warming, but extreme weather is the more prevalent result.
Just my 2 cents
