TWC Today Goes Green!
« on: February 06, 2008, 03:46:16 PM »
Since the climate and environment are such important topics these days, TWC Today has decided to join the masses and go green!

This thread is for posting anything related to the environment, climate change, etc. Ideas for "going green", helping the environment, etc. may be posted here, as can news or anything else related to the topics of this thread. And don't be afraid to be creative! And of course, no idea is too dumb!  :sunglasses:

To an extent, yes. I think there are climate changes occuring, but I don't think they are as pronounced as the media would have you believe.

They're going to show a show on Nat Geo about Six Degrees. Basically 2 degrees there will be no ice in the polar regions, at 3-4 degrees, jungles turn into desserts, and at 5-6 degrees, cities are under water and destroyed.

I'm hoping this situation is fake

Victor, the media acts like this will happen next year, but all of this probably won't happen until at least a century or two from now, so don't worry about it. Not much has changed in the environment in the past century. I still don't get why it was just recently the media is thinking that global warming is something new. It's been going on forever, it didn't start when Katrina hit.

Well, I don't know about a century or two Mike. That may be a bit optimistic. I don't think any of us will see the effects of it, but our children may not be as lucky.
