How do you know? Do you see a desktop icon for your tuner?

Nope.
I just go to My Computer.

I did get a message yesterday about the disk restoring itself, but it never came back today.

Yeah - but what you said about it being the "encoder" - thats the part that makes no sense.

Chris, is your tuner working yet? Uninstall it and reinstall it. It was not  installed properly

No. Not yet.

Btw, do you know how to make Youtube videos (even emulators) without using the &fmt=18 trick to be in high quality?

You import the clips in Movie Maker and save them in high quality like at the bitrate that the video is already in when saving. Emulator clips never show that option.

The only videos I have that show the high quality option are the ones that I recorded with the WinTV HVR 950

I couldn't get the &fmt=18 trick going but it's working now.
