Just got in touch with Patrick Yandall today but him and I are waiting for a reply from Festival Network so he would be able to play at the 2009 Newport Jazz Fest in August.

It's going to be one of those storms that does something you don't expect it to. Because of the volcano erpution scare in Alaska it has caused aircraft planes carrying weather data to relocate out of the area which could be repsonsible for the computer models being all over the place. This storm is far from rivaling the Superstorm 93'.
