Why do people call midterms "finals"?
Well, the midterm exams are semester finals. Plus there is one semesterized course I take (Health), so that exam would be considered a final, not a midterm exam. It wouldn't be possible to have them before Holiday Break unless school were to start a month earlier (right now, school always starts here two days after Labor Day).

What's so special? Probably half a million products out there have "XL" in the name.

Intelli most definitely stands for intelligent.

Yes, Intelli refers to intelligence, and the fact that it is an "intelligent" STAR. XL probably refers to the size of the unit, but your guess is as good as mine on that.

Silver Sonic XL? You don't find anything special about that? SilverStar 8...Weatherstar XL...Silverstar XL...it's confusing.

The IS is intelligent because it makes its playlists based on region and precipitation.

The XL is large...it's seven rack units. (The IS and 4000 are 4 units each.)

That has nothing to do with it at all.

It's "intelligent" because of the dual-feed feature. I think the commercial feature is part of it as well.

Commercial feature is triggered by a 5 volt trigger port in the back of the unit.. a DOS machine could trigger this. Not that "intelligent".
