Just got a call - They cancelled school for tomorrow, and it hasn't even started snowing yet! That's like...incredible unbelievable.

So now my winter break has an extra day. :P

Freezing fog is when the water droplets in the fog freeze on contact with objects.

So if it's foggy outside...As soon as it "hits" an object, it turns to water? That's weird. How do they determine that?

Basically. If you've ever been outside on a foggy day you've noticed that the ground seems a bit damp, as do cars and other objects. In freezing fog, the water droplets that make fog freeze the surfaces they touch instead of making them damp.

As to how the determine that...I'm not a meteorologist. 'nuff said.  :bleh: :D

It's mainly determined by air temperature (32 and below).
