Fill out this form: http://help.youtube.com/support/youtube/bin/request.py?contact_type=account telling YouTube you'd like to re-open that account. And yes, it should work seeing as you closed it on your own.

I don't want to reopen the account actually, becuase I have to reupload the videos there (I removed them all from my hard drive) but I want to try out to see if it'll work.
