Hmmm...

I have a coaxial cable running from the wall to my tv. If i hook it up to my tuner, would i get twc from calble?

No. You need to subscribe to cable. They turn you off when you cancel service. You cannot get channels from cable unless you resubscribe. Do NOT listen to what Mike said. He's either confused or wrong.

Actually, I would try anyway. It's a common Comcast error that they cancel your account, but forget to shut off the signal to your house. My friend's been watching standard cable (channels 2-99) for almost 6 months now on his TV in his room, while the rest of his house is wired to Dish. And this isn't a rare occurrence, either. I've read on DSLReports about it happening often to the folks there.
Wow! He's basically watching free Comcast TV then?

I have no plans on dating. IMO, high school is too early to date with people since you aren't fully "developed" yet.
Yeah, I wouldn't exactly date anyone in high school either. However that doesn't stop me from 'liking' other girls.

Yeah, I've heard about those occurrences too, Tyler. Those Comcast people are dummies, they don't always seem to know they are doing. Yesterday I walked by a Comcast person on his van getting out those "flags" you stick on the ground. I was about to say to him "Comcast sucks," but I changed my mind. :P

I agree 100%. High School relationships are the biggest joke, because 99.9999%, it's all just hormones...

Well it was a year long relationship. Quite remarkable if you ask me. It'll get better in college though hopefully

I guess so. You must be lonely during this time of the day. :( At least you have a buddy to chat with at this time.  :D

Theres really no way to shut off basic cable since the signal comes from a DA in your local neighbour hood box, so they can obviliously shut down your digital services by removing your box from the ECM stream, but again, to remove basic analog signal they would physically have to un-plug the cable from the DA. It's an analog stream, it has no authorization status. If its coming in to your house, you can view it.

But I first switched from Comcast to DISH in April 2002. I also had Comcast for 2 months in June-August 2004 then went back to DISH. In 4 years time, I can still view basic standard cable?

Providing they haven't unplugged your cable from the main box, yes, you should still get basic cable.

I had Comcast in Atlanta, and got it de-activated back in 2006. If I were to plug in my set top box it would not work, but if I were to plug the cable right from the wall, in to the TV, I would still be able to get basic cable (like channels 2 - 24 or something IIRC).

I never had Comcast from a box, it came from the wall. TWC is on CH 61 even if i get channels it might not show up :(
