I see our old friend Tech-Guy is hovering around as a guest. Been awhile since I've seen him!  :sunglasses:
Old member?

Yeah he registered back when this board first came into existence. I haven't seen him online in any form, guest or member, in a very long time.

I could have done the graph upside down :P Anyway, Pelmorex has an employee stock program, as well does TWC so I have stocks on both side of the fence.. Thus meaning I own a bit of TWC :P

Pelmorex owns the  canadian STAR (Weatherstar4000) for the Weather Network. I'm not sure but it is usually gone by the acronym PMX.

I've been to TWN hQ before. It's very nice. Its small, peaceful and less hectic then TWC. I've never been to TWC HQ but i can tell they're always busy based on the camera shots

Yes, Pelmorex is the company that MAKES TWN's STAR. No, they are not a STAR.

Does anyone know how I should dispose of this old LCD screen I replaced from my laptop?  I know I can't just throw it in the trash, but I have no idea where to take it

IIRC, there is a note on the bottom of the laptop saying that the lamp (or LCD backlight) contains mercury, so you'll need to find a proper mercury disposal service.

That's pretty dangerous, Mercury is fatal and could deform.

Check with your city.county/parrish/municipality. There should be a number in the government (blue) pages of the phone book for your local municipality's waste department. Call them, they'll direct you to the proper place.

Uh, no.. Pelmorex is the parent company of TWN. TWN / Pelmorex USED to have the WS4000 LF system. We have since stopped using those units. We now have a new self patented technology called "PMX" which is Pelmorex for short.

I've been to TWN hQ before. It's very nice. Its small, peaceful and less hectic then TWC. I've never been to TWC HQ but i can tell they're always busy based on the camera shots
The place is very small.
