"Degration" is not in the dictionary.

There's a difference between "degration" (what you used) and "degradation" (which is a real word).

I'm very aware. I was wondering why people used a fake word instead of the real word. People who don't use proper english piss me off.

It gets "tweaked" because people don't know how to spell or they're too lazy to look it up in the dictionary or use a spell check.
