Winter storm warning here, with 6-10 inches plus expected. The plus is uncertain, because of the fact that some areas could see thundersnow (and I hope my area is one of them!)
Also, massive job cuts at local station KWQC, as their parent company, Young Broadcasting is suffering..majorly. Already teh ND and cheif meteorologist of 22 years have been axed, with 25% of the empoyees who are left, leaving tomorrow. All of the anchors, except 2 of the 8, have been with the station for over 10 years. And, this station has been the number one station for 28 years, and has only been number 2 for 5 years, and was number one when they first signed on. Yikes.
What I don't understand, is that Young has KLFY down in Lafeyette, LA, and has an anchor who has been there since 1969, and hasnt canned her. The only stations I've heard cuts at have been KWQC, WTEN in Albany New York, and WKRN in Nashville.
