If there are any CompUSA's in your area, you could try them. I know a lot of their stores closed though (there's only one left around here).

CompUSA is a very good store. There's one in West Nyack, NY open

When something with our computers goes so wrong, and I can't figure it out, I take the computer into a local PC repair shop. Their rates seem to be really inexpensive, I think around $45 an hour, but both times we went to them, it took them only 15 minutes to do their work, so they charged only $11.25.

Depending on if they offer that service. You're using a laptop, right? Then it shouldn't be difficult for you to bring it to their shop.

Depending on if they offer that service. You're using a laptop, right? Then it shouldn't be difficult for you to bring it to their shop.
i just want them to get my tuner to recognize my channels.

That's a super idea. For service and price, the little guys can't be beat. :no:
