Is there anyone with satellite and a tuner who would be willing to record a song on the primtetime list for me?
i can but not without a tuner
Do you have a VCR or a DVR you can tape it to and then capture to your computer later with a tuner?
VCR doesn't work. Why do you need a tape captured with a tuner?
I'm talking about taping the LF to a VCR tape and then putting it on your computer when you get a tuner.
I know what you mean now. Yes when i get the tuner i can transfer the tape to computer but i can't record it with a VCR because there's an error in the VCR for recording tapes.

I'm assuming u want the playlist recorded for music? I can use Audacity and record the song(s) with my microphone.

There's a song in particular I'd like recorded, but nobody with satellite and a tuner are willing to record it.

Record the music to your computer. If your TV or receiver has a line out or headphone jack, and your computer has a line in or microphone jack, you can get a stereo mini cable and record the audio on your PC.

Thunder, here is what my STAR looks like, this was for The KSMI Weather Channel which is now halted. But this is what it looked like. Weathercaster will be built from a modifyed version of this.

I just realised that I didnt post the bloody video! Haha!

This is what I am talking about, this video:

Ugh. Suddenly Mac's are eerily reminiscent of PC's.
Believe me, you don't experience that kind of trouble in modern Macs. ;)

Oh I believe it. Now that I really think about it, the Mac I have really hasn't given me as much trouble as my PC does. For the most part things have gone smoothly. This is the first real issue that I've had, and it was likely my fault anyway!

Quote
Unfortunately, the computer did not come with the 8.6 CD. So I suppose I'm stuck then, because I can no longer get into OS 9 at all, extensions or none.
Quote
Try starting the Mac while pressing Command + Option + P + R, and wait until you hear the startup chime for the second time before releasing the keys. That will reset the PRAM in the machine, and that might get it back working.

What I actually did (I hadn't seen your post beforehand) was performed a clean install of OS 9. It seems to have resolved the issue, as it wiped away all the extensions and other settings from 8.6.  :sunglasses:

Is there an OS 10?
Yes. But it's called "OS X" because "X" is the Roman numeral for 10.
