According to the date on the system it is 10 years old, made in 1997.

Billy, how would I determine how much RAM it has?

BTW, the MAc and the HD cost me jsut 9.99 each.

Nice buy, Gary. How much RAM does it have? If you have enough, you could probably get OS 9.x running.  :sunglasses:
Yes you can indeed install an OS as new as 9.1 in there. You'll need 32 MB of memory and 40 MB of virtual memory to run it (the computer can hold up to 128 MB).

Well Vic it has the right hardware. I just need to find out if Verizon is usable on a Mac.

Mike or Billy, how do you find out how much RAM a Mac has?

Go to the Apple menu and click "About This Computer", and it'll tell you.

Not sure if I like that feature. It makes that area rather cluttered.
The area's already pretty cluttered, adding this box wont change it :P Take a look at mine or Gary's box, he's got The Big Cheese (where I have, the moldy cheese) and then theres the Stars, Posts and I don't think the Online box is adding to any clutter.

Maybe if you got rid of the custom member title than it'll be less cluttered?

Alright, the Mac has 96MB of built in memory and 97MB virtual memory. That means I can upgrade the OS right? Which brings me to my next question: Can Mac cd-rom drives read discs burned on a PC?

Additionally, the Mac has the following software:

Adobe Pagemaker 6.5
Aldus Pagemaker 5.0
Gunshy 1.3
Imageviewer 2.0
Adobe Photoshop 4.01
Microsoft Office98
