Hello everyone, just wanted to say I have decided to make my presence known around here again.. a little someone I talked to yesterday convinced me to return to this place

I am doing better now that August and September (both depressing months for me) have come and gone.. and I forgot to mention this, but I am a moderator at a large forum now (although in a small section of the forum) but I still have other duties to perform as a member of the forum's staff.

Hope to see y'all around  :hi:
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

Welcome back, Zach!

It looks like the nation is going to have some interesting weather over the next few days.  With a winter storm in the Rockies, severe weather across the Plains and Midwest, and a tropical system making landfall in the southeast, we sure won't be missing out on much over the next few days.  It was great seeing new posts in the "Hurricane Central," "Severe Weather," and "Winter Weather" child boards below.

Let's just hope everyone stays safe during these weather systems.

Good to see you again, Zach.

This is the time of year that I start paying attention to the weather again.  It's not as boring or predictable as it is during the summer (sunny and hot every single day with little to no variance).

Nope they have done it in the past. Not sure if every WFO implemented it so it may be new for your area. I recall seeing them at least for the past year or so here. Pretty nifty idea!

Hey everyone! I haven't really posted much and thought I would check in. Life is busy for me now that I'm working and still in school but getting to do what I love makes it all worth while. Glad to see everyone is doing pretty well :)

Does anyone have any title bars or individual graphics that match current or past on air graphics? If so I would love to chat with you and see if I could use them in a personal project. I've seen a lot of the work in the fan forum and there is a lot of great content.

I'm working at one of my local tv stations as a production assistant and weather producer. I make a lot of graphics using the MAX system which is the same program TWC now uses primarily. There is actually a special mode WSI activates that unlocks TWC exclusive features in the software...sadly that's not activated for us haha! Still I'd like to try and re-create some of the on air graphics using my system but sadly I don't have anything made. I don't have the time or talent to make them either :P I'd be happy to make some wx videos for anyone able to send me some. Shoot me a PM or facebook message if you want to help :)

Not sure if this was coincidental or if it was made intentionally, but I'll let the following link to an article I found explain:

It was intentional. They first issued a statement identical to the one with the message, a few words were changed to make the message appear.

The tropical storm conditions possible icons? I've seen them for as long as I can remember.

Howdy Martin! B)

I wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone on here too. I have not been on the forums since late July as I have lost all interest in TWC, but all this talk about the new local forecast just prompted me to stop by and say something. Hopefully, I can stop by more often as time permits. I hope everyone is doing well. I have been very busy myself, with multiple exams and papers coming up. I'm also working full-time at my school's newspaper company, so that's definitely keeping me busy too, but I don't mind earning a little bit of cash.

And is anyone else enjoying this late summer spell? Our forecast is supposed to hit 85 today, and tomorrow 84. I'm not complaining though because I'm enjoying this warm weather while it lasts. We have only 3-4 months of warm weather, so I would certainly be out and about then dealing with a blizzard.

This is the first project of the semester we had to work on.

Our assignment was to make at minimum a 15 second animation using only keyframe animations (Scale, Rotation, Position, etc.)

Everything is not perfect, but I did the best I could within the time I had to work on this which was about 3 weeks.

I spent a week before that redrawing Mario in Adobe Illustrator using the Pen/Shape tools. The Mario at 19-21 seconds in is just a still image (Time didn't allow me to redraw that Mario or the still Luigi in Illustrator.)

You and I both! :D SMW being the best one out of the whole series imo.

I never got the chance to play the original version on the NES, but I played the heck (and still own a working cartridge copy) of the GBA version. I've had it since it came out in 2001. The cape was my favorite power-up. I played this game just last month for old times sake.

I've always had a lot of fun playing Mario games.  SMW was enjoyable but challenging at times when it came to finding all of the secret exits.  It certainly looks like you've done a good job recreating it, Tavores.
