I'm just disappointed that I'm 1 for 3 in snow "storms" so far.  Thankfully I was in Dallas for the "white" Christmas, but then I missed some snowfall in Norman that Friday of Christmas week, and missed the snow in Dallas on Tuesday. :(

Just be lucky you guys don't live here. Over the past 7 days, the closest we got to winter was just some sleet this morning. Otherwise, the temperatures have been swinging, after it being mild and having some 60's, the tulips are sprouting. Now it's been 30's and damp, cloudy, and dark. It's really depressing, worst place to live if you want sun. Heck, even some palm trees still have green on them and are still alive. Next week may bring some cold air, though I'm skeptical of how cold it will get. I say only as cold as maybe 15°F. Coldest temp so far this season is only 23°F. Snow chances are small, at most a few inches, and if some of the individual members come to fruition, then we could talk maybe a foot. Otherwise, cold, dry and brown for a while.  :wall:

Yeah, but you don't want extremes. We've had multiple nights this month with temperatures falling well below zero - today we had a warm front move through and we got our high temperature at midnight: 37 degrees. It's been falling ever since (we're at -3 right now), and our highs are going to be sub-zero in a few days. The wind is always breezy nowadays so the wind chills are always quite dangerous. It's that time of year where you avoid going outside if you can help it.

I have no idea why winter decided to show up here of all places, but it's going to happen tomorrow.  Before you all get jealous of me, realize who will be helping out the Blacksburg office in a lot of duties over the next two days. :whistling:

The Philly area is going to see 2-4" tomorrow and tomorrow night. Might be the first time I'll see measurable snow on the ground considering we had virtually no winter last year (we hit 70 twice last February)

Wouldn't count on it. Storm is further south. Its mostly a NC/VA storm this time. DC and points northward aren't getting too much.

Yeah you're right, as usual the ocean ruins it. it's raining cats and dogs right now, not quite what I had expected.

A cold front is passing over central Florida right now, and, boy, is it giving me a weather-induced headache!  For a headache that isn't actually a migraine, this is about as bad as it gets.  It's a good thing I have today off - otherwise I'd probably be incapacitated at work.  As it is, it's hard for me to get out of bed right now, and even in bed I'm in extreme pain.  :cry3: :cry3: :cry3:

This was one of the most ironic videos I have seen. It's like he predicted his own death :( (He died in the Joplin tornado 2 years after this)

Well, our local news program made it painfully clear that it is too dangerous to go outside for the remainder of the weekend. This should practically be instant frostbite, no?

For those wind chill values of -57°F on that map, you would get frostbite on dry exposed skin in about 2 minutes.  Obviously, it would be even shorter if the skin was wet.  I think you're better off just staying inside.

It's more than 100°F warmer here if those wind chill values verify. Sitting at 55°F now, busting the original forecast high of only 47°F.
