I find Skydrive to be the most inconvenient cloud service in Windows 8. It's only accessible from the metro app and you can't save things to it from your web browser. If it offers you the option and you save it, go look in your skydrive-it's not there. At least, this has been my experience with it.

Just install the desktop app. It integrates into explorer. It acts like a regular folder so I store all my files into it when downloading stuff

I have both installed. When I add something to the explorer, it doesn't add it to my actual account, I have to upload it manually via the Win8 App.

I test-ran Windows 8 and didn't much care for it. I am very content with Windows 7 and have no intention of changing unless Microsoft comes out with something truly awesome. Heck, I'm starting to use Linux more than Windows.

I'm probably one of the few who's still kicking around with XP with my main desktop PC, although most other PCs in my household have 7 or 8 on them. I do plan on replacing this old PC at some point next year. I have tested out Windows 8 on my Dell laptop I no longer use regularly, and I did get accustomed to the Metro UI and all of the other changes pretty quickly. So going from XP to 8 shouldn't be too big of a leap for me.

Besides my desktop, I use OS X 10.6.8 on my trusty old MacBook.

Neat! It'll be interesting knowing the conditions in your area, especially since I like studying the weather not only here, but elsewhere. I also have a PWS of my own, I'm sure you and many others know. Does any else have a PWS?

When I'm at home, I'm practically right on top of the airport and it has an ASOS. It's the same at school. So having one is kinda moot for me.

I live literally 3 miles (as the crow flies) from the nearest ASOS station, so I haven't found a need for one either.

As for Windows 8, I generally don't mind it, however it would be nice if it was more customizable as they removed the old advanced control settings. Meaning I can no longer change the title text color, which I always had white since I prefer dark title bars.

I've also been having a hard time getting many of the apps to work, such as the weather app. It tries to launch but just quits, and I haven't found any solutions to it. Same with the weather channel app. So the start screen is basically useless for me (I have a mod installed so I can still use the start menu).

I used to have a personal weather station years ago before I moved to college.  If I get a place on my own someday, I will be getting a Davis Vantage Pro2.
