I can't wait for Thanksgiving as I work a ton of shifts between now and the holiday.

Today's a half day, and I'll be having a 4-day weekend! :) I'm looking forward to it. Also, a good thing I've seen from the switch to standard time is that I don't feel so groggy when I wake up. Before the switch, I was waking up in the dark.

I envy you.  Today is day 16 of working 19 days in a row... and it's a nine and a half hour day today.  At least I'm starting at 11:30 this morning - anything earlier would have just killed me.

Yikes!  I've had moments with working 7 or 8 days in a row, but how did you end up with 19 days in a row?  I hope you have a good break ahead after this stretch.

http://www.king5.com/news/politics/Ballot-math-McKenna-Inslee-Washington-governor-election--178241621.html

After a very close race, Democrat Jay Inslee will be the next governor of my home state of Washington. Republican Rob McKenna conceded the governor's race to Inslee earlier this evening.

The last Republican governor of Washington state was John Spellman, who left office in 1985, just two and half years before I was born. Since then, all governors have been Democrats.

Holiday season in retail.  I have Tuesday and Wednesday off... supposedly.  Actually, most likely.  The extra hours for next week are going to an employee who recently got a promotion, so, in terms of seniority, he's ahead of me in line to get those extra hours.

I am not happy tonight after my team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, undefeated, lost their first game of the season to the Texas A&M Aggies. :(  That loss hurt!

Good. I don't like the current graphics package they're using now.

Great news! I also don't like the current Fox O&O. Even better since I have a Fox O&O station here in Memphis that I can watch to see the overhaul.

I rarely watch our CBS affiliate, but I also wish they were getting a graphics overhaul. It's getting dated, they've been using the same graphics for over 4 years now since they went HD while everyone else has updated at least twice since then.

Boy, oh boy how the mighty have fallen here locally (again). That's right, it's not the first time this has happened to her. :itsok: I doubt she's gonna keep her job this time around. I'm kinda chuckling at the other local news stations because they're jumping on this like vultures. :P Although they don't say much more than what the link below does.

There's about a week and a half left but I was wondering, anybody plan on doing any Black Friday shopping?. On my list I want a mid sized Tv for my room, a new laptop, new camera, new iPod Touch and a WinTV PVR tuner. Maybe I'm being too optimistic :P But I am considering mainly a new Dell laptop that's under $700

Usually I do my Christmas shopping after Black "Frisay"  :P

As for what I want for Christmas, or on my birthday (which is five days before Christmas) I don't know yet
