First day of Fall and I get sick. Ugh!
I've been sick for the past week. Now that I am somewhat back to normal... everything tastes like burnt plastic (blech!). Get well soon :smoke2:

And happy first day of Autumn. Now that we've jumped back to to the Pot Belly Stove, maybe I can keep up with everything

It looks like the HD feed of TWC has been unceremoniously removed from the cable line-up here.  Looks like the NFL Network HD is going to be put there in its place. :cry3:

How are you so certain about that? Are you sure it wasn't moved around? :dunno:

If it has, I haven't been able to find it, and the programming guide still says it's where I last found it.

1145 is the NFL Network.
1225 (TWC HD) is still unavailable.

Id browse around the AVS forum. A lot of employees with cable companies often post there and its a good way to find out changes that are going on for the network. http://www.avsforum.com/t/384294/orlando-fl-bhn/15420 I don't think ive ever seen a case where the HD feed was dropped and the SD remained.

It's only three months to Christmas, but I can already tell the stores can't wait despite that it's not even October yet.

27 years ago today, Hurricane Gloria made landfall here on Long Island as a Category 2 hurricane with 100mph winds. My parents were in the storm and they experienced the eye of the storm as well.

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

Wow... even though I was quite young, I remember Gloria like it was, well, not yesterday, but certainly not 27 years ago. :dunno:

Anyone in the Philly DMA who has Comcast of Garden State, this is important to note:
Quote
IMPORTANT CHANNEL LINEUP INFO:  Effective Oct 23,
2012, WACP will be available on Limited Basic channel 4 as a
digital channel and WACP HD will be available on Limited Basic
channel 789.  In addition, the following channels will move
location, but will remain on the Limited Basic tier: PHL 17
(WPHL, Phila.) will move from channel 4 to 7; Fox 29 (WTXF,
Phila.) will move from channel 7 to 9; QVC will move from
channel 9 to 11; CW Philly 57 (WPSG, Phila.) will move from
channel 11 to 13; Univision (WUVP, Phila.) will move from
channel 13 to 16; TNT will move from channel 16 to 65.

Other Comcasts in the Philly DMA may be making moves as well... I don't know why they're moving these channels around, they've been in these spots since the 90s! Ugh. :(

Getting excited about the next week or so as some much colder air finally dives south into the Dakotas. It's far out on GFS, but that model wants to drop the 850 mb 0° C isotherm well south into Kansas, the Great Lakes, and almost the entire Northeast.
