Are they dangerous? I'm familiar with Canada - I've driven through Toronto last year but not in the more rural parts of upstate NY/lower Quebec.
You should be fine. Some of the state highways can be very rural and remote. Interstates should be fine as well

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

I didnt mention this last night because I was weak and tired night but Ive had a cold for the past 48-72 hours  :( As i said back in November, I am never this sick, and this is the third time I have been sick in 6 months! I usually get sick maybe twice a year or three times at most :doh2:

Also, when walking home today, I saw an oak tree in bloom! (and unrelated to allergies, a couple of amaryllis flowers in bloom, which usually don't bloom until shortly after the official arrival of Spring!) Again, the seasons are out of whack this year!

Hoping you feel better. That's interesting. I've always wondered if trees down in the extreme deep south shed their leaves for the winter. They probably don't take much cold in order for them to start shedding either.

This might surprise you, but there actually are trees that do shed their leaves here in the wintertime. however the trees that do so originate from more northern areas such as maple trees.. However assuming we have strong winters there are trees that can change their colors from green to orange and brown

I live in the northeast and haven't gotten a cold in 3 years. Even in 2009-2010, when everyone else I knew got sick. Lucky I guess? :P

Consider yourself lucky then that you have a really good immune system to work with. I could just have allergies too, seeing how my above post stated that oak trees are blooming now, and oak trees (alongside ragweed) are the worst allergens to put me around. :footinmouth:

Oh yeah, I do get terrible allergies. I get them in both the spring and fall, but they tend to be worse during Ragweed season (August-September).

Haven't technically had a cold or flu in a couple of years so far, but I have had my sinuses acting up this week with a runny/stuffy nose and watery eyes. I literally blew my nose so much yesterday I gave myself a headache.

So apparently, the NWS refers to Presidents Day as "Washington's Birthday" now? Why is that?
It's because federal law never called this holiday as "President's Day" at any time, so everyone in the public gets this day wrong.  Even though George Washington was born on February 22, federal law states that the observed holiday known as "Washington's Birthday" is the third Monday of every February.  There's no such day as "President's Day" in the official calendar, so the NWS has to follow it.

Yep, considering this post is from my new one....

Nothing from the iPad 3 rumors blew me away, and I got a good deal on this one.
