Sorry for the double post.

It is so cold here today. That arctic front shot us down to only 49 for today from nearly 70 the day before. All of this cold air and no moisture to go along with it.  Warm up and lets have some thunderstorms Mother Nature!

Not a bad temp drop. Grand Forks looks to drop from a high of 31 on Sunday to only 13 Monday, and then 0 on Tuesday. Brr! Glad I'm not up there.

Today was pretty extreme here.
It was in the 50's this morning, now only in the mid 30's  :brr:
Look at all the things that happened today here,

• High Winds up to 55mph
• Squall Lines of Heavy Rain
• 20 degree temperature drop
• Snow Showers
• Sunny Skies
• Cloudy Skies
• Cold Windchill values

Wasn't surprised that it snowed. I thought it would anyway.

Hey there, I hope everyone is doing well.

Here in Memphis, we've got a Wind Advisory in effect. Yesterday, there was this huge flock of seagulls that were just circling around overhead. We rarely see seagulls, much less thousands of them circling around.

I just realized Google became way more personal by displaying sites or events that you or your friends like under relative links. This...I am not a fan of.

Last night (before I went to bed, which was really this morning :P), I got my CC image page to force nighttime icons! What I managed to do was add a second source into the XML parsing algorithm to grab Wunderground's almanac data, and from using the sunrise, sunset, and the current times, I could make the script determine whether or not it's day or night. These are the variables I used:

It's nighttime if...
  • the sunrise time is greater than the current time or..
  • the sunset time is less than the current time

It's daytime if...
  • the current time is greater than the sunrise time or..
  • the current time is less than the sunset time

There is a glitch that I cannot fix, however, that for some odd reason, when it hits midnight at any given location in their local time zone, for that hour, the daytime icons come out. :hmm:

Anyways, sorry for the long post (tl;dr?).. but I thought I would share with you guys since it literally took like 4-5 hours for me to get this perfect in determining the time frames to use. No joke! Here's two comparison images I have attached, and the link to access the CC page on my server is located in my sig.. just change to your location of choice though after the '='.

Beh. Valentines day is only 30 days away. I went ahead and did my shopping ahead of time. I bought a huge box of Chocolate Covered Cherries for Kiearra. Hope she likes it
