I remember the winter of 1999-2000 in Massachusetts.  I was a senior in high school, and, other than one day with very brief flurries (which actually interrupted our math class), we didn't have any actual snowfall until January.  It was one of our latest first snowfalls on record, actually.

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

I can beat that.  Try launching a weather balloon at 5 AM when it's just 7°F with a wind chill around −13°F and winds gusting up to 40 mph.  I had to do that during one morning shift last December when I didn't have a good winter coat at the time.  I finally got a better one later as a Christmas gift.

Lol, the problem was the batteries in the temperature sensor were loose.

Anyway, I found this EXTREMELY strange thing this morning on weather.com

Why would the air temperatures surrounding Florida be colder than the temperatures on land? I'm pretty sure that the warm ocean temperatures would keep the air above the water slightly warm, but this just goes against what I said:

Since I found this to be abnormal, I decided the check out Key West, Florida and see there CC. Turns out, it's just as bad!

I've seen things strange on weather.com, but nothing this bad! Plus, the same thing is happening in Texas too!

I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

I tried to post last night but my internet borked on me. Another thing to fix at the same time.

I had to go out and spray lubricant all over my wind vane and flaps at night in a bad thunderstorm with 40+mph winds facing my direction, so no lubricant went into the unit, rather my face. I had to do the same another time, except there was a horrible wind storm, heavy rain, then a hard freeze. You can guess that I was out there for hours trying to free the thing and save it from complete hardware failure.

Something is seriously wrong with weather.com's information today. For example, right now, weather.com says Corpus Christi, TX is 55 degrees.  But all other websites are reporting that the current temperature is 70 degrees.

The gradients on the temperature map and the current temperature listed for the city do match up, but they are very inaccurate.  What's causing this?

Congrats, beanboy!

Meanwhile, breaking news from Aljazeera: Kim Jong Il, the ruthless dictator of North Korea, is dead.
