On the radar of
this 4000 video
, there's an airport that says "HAT", but no such airport exists. Could someone explain why that's there?

Apparently there used to be an airport with the "HAT" airport code in that location, but it was never removed from the radar map. I recall seeing "HAR" on my 4000's radar. From what I can gather, it appears that it was Capital City Airport (which is now CXY) was once HAR (because of the positioning of the dot on the 4000's radar map).

edit: See Gary's post. ;)

Yes, my post explains it. It was never an airport. It is the Cape Hatteras lighthouse.

That's weird they would use a location without a weather station. Thanks for the help Gary.

Is it possible to find out which airport codes on the 4000 radar map were in any given area? I'd like to find out what they are/were for my area.

Oops, guess I got my pains in the neck confused.  :P

Just kidding Thunder.  :sunglasses:

Derek, I'm not quite sure I understand what your asking. The only way to know which airport codes were on your 4000 would be to see an actual clip of it. IF you know the airports near you, you could probably look up their codes and get an idea of what was on your 4000 that way.
