Yay!! Congratulations on your first snow Billy!!

There was snow in my area too. That is, because the radar slides were messed up. :P

Yeah, the radar on the IntellIStar is messed up here too, but the Airport was actually reporting snow, so I believe it is a genuine observation.

It doesn't have to be exactly freezing for it to snow. ;)

Usually it doesn't stick to the ground at above 32, but it certain can indeed snow at those temps

That depends. The temperature of the ground isn't necessarily proportional to the air temperature. For instance, if temperatures have been at or below the freezing mark for the last week, and then today its 37 with snow, that snow is going to stick, because the ground is certainly still cold enough. It would take a few days of temps above freezing for the ground to get to that level.

Very cool!  :sunglasses:

They put up an orange scroll jsut to report snowfall amounts?

yes, its something new

from the star team:

Quote from: twcstarteam
The local snowfall crawl is a result of The Weather Channel combining any Local Storm Reports and Public Information Statements from the Weather Service and creating a listing of snowfall amounts. The stay tuned sentence was just a generic add-on.

well aren't you special....yeah special ed.  :P ohhh.

I'm fine with it...because basically we're smarter than most schools, I don't want to brag, but I mean we have A LOT less holidays / days off then most other schools and typically tend to have longer summer vacations :P
