It should give you signal levels without logging in. Odd.
All I get are a few addresses, a serial number, and several version numbers.  I don't see anything about signal strength.  Furthermore, whenever my internet has blinked, my laptop always says that the DNS server is down.  So, I'm not sure if it's just the modem or perhaps a pretty bad server system here.

Can you pull up a screenshot of your modem's diagnostic page (the one with signal level measures)? The address for your modem should be http://192.168.100.1

I can view the link you gave me, but I don't know a username and password to log in further on there.
I think you can use your computer's username and password can you?

For a modem? I didn't think so.

My guess is the connection is lost and thats the message you will get because it can not connect to the DNS server. When do these outages occur? Any outages between 12am-6am are quite common since cable companies tend to do a lot of work then

The outages occur most often in the middle of the night, but I still get a few during the day.  I have a feeling that the server here sometimes gets overwhelmed by all the college students nearby using the network.  It usually does come back without me touching a thing after several minutes to an hour.  I guess I really can't do anything about it, so I'll just live with it unless you all know a trick or something.  Thanks for all your help though!

Do you have a Motorola modem?  Hit up the address and click on "signal" on the left.

Is this a rental modem or your own?

It's a rental modem that was provided to me by Comcast when I moved here.  Even when I've tried resetting the modem during an outage, it doesn't solve the problem, which leads me to believe it's the server as mentioned in my previous post.

Hope you had a great time at the internship.  If all goes well and you decide to apply there for a full-time job after you graduate, they'll likely remember you. ;)

TWC's HiRAD technology is a FAIL once again. I almost have a dusting of snow on the ground and they're reporting Cloudy skies. It's been snowing for the past two hours!  :dunno:
