Today's weather reminds me very much of December 1, 2006. Mild, wet, and windy. Not sure if we'll get any severe weather today, though.  :hmm:

This looks like a Dallas winter. :blink: BIG temperature drops of 20+ degrees like what is seen are often common.

And no severe weather after a 100% chance of severe storms? :unsure:

Yeah, I thought of that day today too. On both 11/30 and 12/1/06 we went up to 71 degrees, then we had a long cold spell after that. Early this afternoon leaving school we had a wind driven heavy rain with winds topping 35 mph, which warranted a severe thunderstorm warning.

I'm going to add a ton of wood to the fire here as it's snowing outside now, and it's going to be cold and windy after this Alberta clipper passes.  Also, I got to do something I've never done at work earlier today:  I issued my first ever nowcasts for parts of western VA and northwestern NC concerning the snow. :happy:
