The more I think about it the worse I feel about the time slot. Most young viewers during that time watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Show and older viewers watch local news. I cant see many young viewers switching to watch Conan.

4.2 million viewers, median age 30.  For reference, it beat out Stewart, Colbert, Leno, Letterman, and even out-viewed all of NBC primetime on Monday.

Advertisers have to be drooling over this.

I will be curious to see how those numbers hold up. Thats nice strong start!

He's already about a good million viewers ahead of The Daily Show on Comedy Central, I actually read an article last night on Yahoo! that talked about how The Daily Show would be duking it out with Conan for ratings now that Jon Stewart has competition.

Well first showings are always extremely high. If he can maintain a lead over Stewart in a month then that is awesome. The more competition the better! Stewart has been a bit dry lately

It comes up for me on the first time you do a Google search.  You have to click on the magnifying glass to the right of a search link to see a preview of it.  It's called "Instant Previews," and Google released this new feature earlier today.

Zach, you can turn off that instant search feature when you're logged into Google if you think it's too annoying for you.  Simply log into your Google account like Gmail, then go to this link and turn off "Google Instant" at the bottom of the page:

Why do some of you all hate Google Instant?  It's supposed to speed up searches, which it does pretty well on my end.  You realize that you can add a Google search on your browser toolbar, and you won't see any instant searches until you navigate to the Google page itself?

I use the search box. I rarely go to the main site, except to see the doodle for the day.

i type too fast and at most times the first word in the query is irrelevant to what im looking for
