for thanksgiving i only get the 24th off. which is totally dumb.

but we have almost 2 months off for winter break.

Last year I had it off, and so did the year before. IVC is so stupid to leave out Veterans Day this year.

We have "fall break" for Columbus Day. It almost feels stupid not to recognize this important holiday but I guess with things being so close to Thanksgiving they can't give a holiday. I get 24-28 off for Thanksgiving and since I have Tuesdays off I only go in on Monday of that week. I am eagerly looking forward to it Then two weeks after that its time for exams and break. Time sure does fly!

I don't have Veterans Day off... 

The only national holidays I have off (that falls on a school day) is MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.

I also have Veterans' Day off, and the day after that, so it's a four-day weekend!

Wow I never thought about folks not having it off before. I guess its honored by all the local schools here because this is a big military area

Our school has a special program for veterans, but no day off. There's no point to letting us take the day off, since Thanksgiving break starts a week later, and that lasts for 11 days.

I had Veteran's Day off during elementary and high school, but I never had it off during my entire time in college for both undergraduate and graduate years.

My Thanksgiving Break only lasts for 4 days... How long is your Christmas Break?

I can't be sure, but I think Christmas Break is just under 3 weeks. 18 days, to be exact.
