So, did anyone hear that Verizon is coming out with the iPhone 4 next year? I confirmed it with Verizon representatives. I will DEFINITELY be getting it.

Your sister is in 2nd grade and wants a laptop?!? I didn't have a laptop until 8th grade. And although I had a cell phone before this, it wasn't in second grade.

It is amazing, and almost sad, how technology has really evolved to change kids minds. An iPhone or iPad for a 5-year-old...can you imagine???  The board games, legos, books, etc. are really starting to phase out.

Yes... she's been begging for one since her birthday.

Hard to believe that the first laptop I got in my lifetime is actually the one I'm using right now. And I got my first cellphone when I was a freshman in high school.

I did not get a laptop until I graduated high school.  I didn't have a cell phone until I was a sophomore in high school.  Now I see kids walking home from elementary school with their cellphones; texting and talking while walking.  It's almost sad.
And that list Alex posted also makes me sad.  When I was younger, I wanted a new bike, or a new pair of rollerblades, maybe a Hot Wheel car or two, or three or four .  Oh well, I guess it is just a sign of the times.

I did not get a (useable) laptop until December 2007. I have since sold that laptop and continue to use the Sony laptop I won in 2008. I did not get a cell phone until October 2006 as it was a bad time and me and my mom were going to be separated because of the foreclosure to our house that December. I saw kids as young as 10 and 11 in my day with cell phones and texting all the time and such. Meh, I was jealous but I got over it.

I agree. Not one Verizon or Apple PR has mentioned or made an official press release report that Verizon was getting the iPhone 4.

Not a chance I'm getting an iPhone. Apple has way too many rules and restrictions on their products. Android is so much better.

I didn't have a cell phone until 2004 (well after high school), and I didn't even have the internet until 1999 (around junior year in high school).  I really worry about the responsibilities we're teaching our youth these days.

as for me my technology sprawl was a Game boy advance second grade year and my Vista laptop came to me 7th grade year

I'm at about 1998 technology wise. I have a cheap Tracfone cellphone, a 1985 52" tv, 1987, 1997 27" tv, a cheap Emachines computer.... I have to say I hate all the new technology crap, including on tv/TWC. I wish we could all go back to 1998 technology wise.

iphones are great when you know how to jailbreak them, mine is...and i've never been more satisfied with a cell phone in my life.

Heh, I still use several 90's stuff myself. All of my TV's are still CRTs, and I still frequently record on VCRs.

I like that idea. I wouldn't mind using Mac OS 9 again. However being an IT manager I'd rather manage Server 2003/2008 than NT Server. Once in a while I'll load Windows 98 or NT on a virtual machine when I feel nostalgic.
